Importing a CAD file

- [Instructor] Often your extended project team will include folks that are working in other products like AutoCAD or other CAD programs. And the work that they generate will be in a different file format, but it turns out that many of these other file formats are supported by Revit and you can bring them into your Revit project for coordination purposes. So the example that I'm going to share with you in this video is bringing in a site plan that was generated in AutoCAD and using that as the basis for our site here in Revit. So to get started, I'm going to open up my site plan view which seems a little bit more appropriate for this example. And when I open it, the most noticeable thing will be the size of the grid lines. You can see they're a lot larger here and that is actually accounted for by the scale here.
