Introduction to room boundaries
- [Instructor] Dynamo views room boundaries differently than I visually see them in Revit. And the way that it views them may not always seem consistent. And consistency is very important when you're trying to find locations for placing families. From the manage tab, open Dynamo. And open the roomboundaries_start.dyn file. In this workspace, I've added a few nodes for selecting elements and looking at the room finish boundaries. I'm gonna click select from the select model elements node and select the room inside of the square room. You'll see the element idea of the room. If I click run, you should see that this room has four lines, representing the boundaries of the room. If I draw a wall intersecting with the top of the room, I can go back inside of Dynamo and disconnect my node and click run to clear out the results. If I wire the element output from the select model elements node to the room input of the room finished boundaries nodes and click run again, you'll see now that I…
