Linework Override tool

- [Instructor] The line weight override tool allows you to apply a graphic override to an individual line or edge of a modeled element. Sometimes you need to emphasize a line diagrammatically, hide a line or thicken the edge of an element to add depth within a view. The line weight override tool is fantastic for this. In this video we'll look at how to use the line weight override tool to add depth to an elevation and a few things to watch out for when you're using it. Let's get started. Open the 01_09 exercise file. If you check your project browser you should be in the 01_09 Lineweight Override tool elevation. Here we have an elevation of one of the facades of our building. I'm first going to start by creating a view filter to override everything to be a one line weight. This is something I typically do in elevation, then I'll use the line weight override tool to punch out certain lines to give this view depth.
