Locating walls
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to begin a practical example and start laying out the walls for a two-bedroom condominium unit. Now, to do this, what we're going to do is actually do a two-step process that I like to call sketch then modify. So we're going to rough out the positions of the walls first and then we're going to come back and modify those locations to make them more precise. Now to get started, I'll just simply run the Wall command. You can either click the button or type WA. And I'm going to accept all of the default settings but let me just point out to you what those are. We're going to be drawing just with the line tool here. I'm using the interior 123mm partition type. If I do edit type, and edit structure, that actually contains a metal stud layer in the core and a single layer of drywall on either side so it's a pretty standard interior construction type.
