Managing links
[Instructor] In this video, let's discuss managing links. Now, I don't have any file open because the first thing I want I discuss is what happens when Revit can't find a link that's required when you open a file, so lets open a file and see what happens. So, under models, here, I'll click open, and I'm going to select this file called Manage Links, it's M Manage Links if you're working in metric. And when the file opens Revit will recognize that one of the links that it needs is not found in the location it expects to find it in and it will offer you a couple possible solutions. One is that you can open the Manage Links dialog and try to correct the problem, and the other is you can just simply ignore it and keep going. So it is possible to ignore and just let it not load the link and keep going. But, of course, if you need that link in order to proceed with your work then opening Manage Links is probably a better choice.…
