Mirroring groups to create a layout

- In this video, we're going to take our single group and duplicate it a few times to create an overall building layout. So, I've got my two bedroom condo right here, and I'm going to select that. Let's zoom in a little bit near the top wall. And I'm going to use the Mirror commands to help me duplicate this unit. So we've got two of them. We've got Mirror Pick Axis and Mirror Draw Axis. So let's start with Mirror Pick Axis which will prompt me for an axis of reflection. So this is just any element that you want to use as your mirror line. And the center line of the shared party wall between the two apartment units should do the trick. So I'm going to click right there, and it will mirror a copy into the upper portion of the plan. Now when it does that, you're going to notice that it actually generates a warning. So down in the lower right hand corner we see this little yellow tinted warning and on screen, if you…
