- [Instructor] In this video I want to address a topic that comes up a lot in building information modeling projects. At some point you will be faced with the question, "Is this thing worth modeling?" And there are things that you could model and then there are other ways you could represent them and sometimes it's difficult to decide which way you should go. Now, there's certainly a school of thought that says that in building information modeling everything should be modeled and we should build it exactly the way it will really be. And there are arguments in favor of that. But, there are also arguments against that for certain kinds of things because sometimes it's simply not worth the effort that you have to put in, or the amount of overhead that's expended, or the graphics might not look right, or a variety of other things.
