Opening a project

- [Instructor] Let's start with perhaps our simplest task, and that is opening up something to work on in Revit. Now, when you first launch the software, you'll be greeted with the home screen, and it's got a few areas to it. So I want to direct your attention first to the left-hand column that's in gray there, and notice that at the top of that column, we have two areas, models and families. Now, within each of those areas, there's a Open and a New button. So naturally you can use the Open button to open an existing file or the New button to create a new file of that kind. Now we're going to be working with models pretty much exclusively here in this course. But it is possible to also open a family file and work directly in it.
