Painting materials on walls
- [Instructor] Revit allows us to paint materials onto the faces of the walls. To actually see this in action, from this view, what I'd like us to do is to come down on the screen to the visual styles. Then turn on realistic mode. With this view of walls that we have inside of the scene, this should run very quickly, and what we're looking at now are materials that are associated with the walls and floors that are in this scene. Right now, most of these are just generic materials, so as a result of that, what's showing is just being a dark gray. If we select on one of the walls, such as the wall that shows up on the right, we can see that this is a basic wall, generic eight inch wall. But if I choose a different type of wall off the type selector list, we can expect this wall to begin to look a little bit different. For instance, if we select on this interior six and 1/8 partition to our wall, and then click off of it, we can see that the materials that are associated with this wall…
