Process room boundaries
- [Instructor] To place wall protection with Dynamo, I use the bounding lines of a room and find the intersections with the surrounding walls. Because Dynamo views the boundaries of a room as segmented lines based on the intersecting walls, I need to first clean up the lines to make a continuous line segment that I can then find where it intersects with the walls, providing the correct number of line segments to place wall protection. Let's get started by opening Dynamo from the manage tab. Click new to start a new workspace, and now we're gonna start by looking for a select model element node. You can use the select model element node to select the room inside of your Revit file that's called Outside Boundaries. Press select on the node, and tab to select the actual room geometry inside Revit. Now we're gonna use the custom node that we made previously.
