Removing all other unnecessary entities in the CAD drawing
- [Narrator] Once again we're staying in AutoCAD with our 1031 Southeast Madison level 1 drawing. Now in the previous video we looked at removing unnecessary blocks from our CAD drawing to make it leaner for when it comes into our Revit model to optimize our BIM workflow a little bit and just to kind of make sure the CAD drawing isn't heavy. Now something you might do is save this as a separate CAD file as well. Just to keep it away from the original CAD file. It's always good to have a copy of the original and then do a Save As, always useful. Now what we're going to to look at in this particular video is getting rid of all of the other unnecessary objects in your CAD drawing. Now in the previous video we obviously lost our door blocks, we literally deleted them. You don't need them because what you want is the opening, you want to show where the door opening is so that you can put a Revit door family in its place…
