Removing unnecessary layers in the CAD drawing

We're staying in AutoCAD and our 1031 Southeast Madison Level 1.dwg file. Now your CAD drawing to optimize your BIM work flow should be really lean. You don't want it heavy and full of layers and blocks and annotation and so on. You want to make sure that it's really, really lean and ready to go into the Revit model so that you can use it as a point of reference rather than make your Revit model clumpy and slow as well. So, what we're going to look at in this video is getting rid of all the unnecessary layers that we really do not need in our CAD drawing. Now, you'll automatically notice in this floor plan in the model tab that you can see that you've got that speckeledy floor sitting there. If I hover over that you can see it's a hatch pan and it's a color white, and you can see there that it's on a layer A-230-H-FLOOR.
