- [Instructor] During the schematic design phase we need to ask the question, can we use the information created during the conceptual phase here in schematic design? Some examples of that would be if a 3D model was generated during these conceptual design phase. Can that then be brought into the schematic design phase and then used or if sketches were done on pieces of paper or drawings were done in two-dimensional CAD programs can that information be brought in, modeled against in order to enhance the way that we're doing our work, speed up our processes, and just make the general process of design better? If the answer is yes, we need to document which things need to be brought forward so that those resources are available here in the schematic design phase. Also, we need to know how will the project teams use this information? As an example, will the estimators or the general contractors who are trying to bid on the project be able to get information out of the schematic design…
