Selection sets

- [Instructor] Selection sets allow you to name a collection of selected elements that can be loaded as a current selection, or filtered graphically. They can also be managed, allowing us to add or remove elements. In this video, we're going to learn how to create a selection set of the south facade of our building, then add and remove elements to our selection set and use Visibility Graphics to modify the graphical appearance of those selected elements. Open the 03_01 exercise file. In the project browser, you should see that you're in 3D view 03_01 selection sets. What we're going to do is create a selection set of all the elements on the south facade. Easiest way to do this is orienting yourself to the top of the building, and cross-selecting to get those elements. From the view cubes, select top. Zoom in on the top of your building. Cross-select from top left to bottom right, keeping your selection as tight to the south facade as you can. On the Modify tab, you'll notice the…
