Split walls vertically

- [Instructor] In one of our previous tips we looked at this parapet condition here and discussed how the construction displayed wasn't correct because up at the parapet height we're showing drywall and furring strips on the exterior of the building inside the parapet and that we needed to remove that. And the solution that we looked at to do that was to unlock the wall layers and allow them to therefore be stretched down below the height of the roof. And that's certainly an appropriate solution and it works perfectly fine but in this video I want to share with you an alternative solution and that's going to take advantage of two things. One is that we can use the split tool vertically on walls so we are not limited to just splitting things in plan we can actually split them vertically here and the other thing that we're going to do is simply take that split wall that we end up generating and creating another wall type.
