Starting a custom furniture piece
- [Instructor] When starting a custom piece, the other thing you need to take into consideration is the reference plane and here's what I mean. Right now I am in the Reference Level which means I'm in my top view. So, if you were to look at a cube, it would be the very top. Anything that I draw in this view is going to want to be drawn up which means I'm going to go to my Front view over here in Elevations. Anything that I draw in this plane is going to start out at the reference level and it's going to draw up into the y-axis. Anything that you draw from the front elevation is going to start out in the front elevation and draw back or forward depending on how you do it which in other words means if I go from my Reference Level, front is going to be from this point in the center and anything before and it's going to go backwards. So, if you were to look at the cube, it would be either the front or the back. Same thing if you were to start from one of the sides, either left or right…
