Textured material

- There are times when it may be easier to display geometry as a material rather than model it. In the image here, I have a photo of a material that appears to have the plaster scooped away. Modeling something this is geometrically heavy in your project and very difficult to model. In this video, we're going to learn how to create a material for a feature wall by using gradients in our bump image. Let's get started. Open the 0208 exercise file. From the project browser, you should be in 3D view 0208 feature wall. In this scene, we have an in place family that we're going to apply the material from the intro slide to. First let's start by creating the material. From the manage tab, select materials. Click to create a new material. Right click and rename the new material, feature wall. From the appearance tab, we're going to give the material a white color. We're going to scroll down, and apply a bump to this material. Select the 0208 textured mat jpeg. Click open.
