- [Instructor] Last week, I talked about exporting from Revit to AutoCAD. So I thought this week it would be appropriate to do the reverse and talk about importing from AutoCAD into Revit. And I want to start with a question that was on one of the Q and A pages of one of my courses where a viewer was having a hard time with an imported CAD file. They wanted to create typography from it, and it wasn't allowing them to select the CAD file. I want to show you what I suspect the issue was in that situation. So let's go ahead and get started here. I have not provided a Revit file for this exercise. We're just going to start from scratch. So just click the New button here under Models, and you can choose whatever template you like. I'm going to pick the Imperial Architectural template. I'll click OK on that. That's going to open up in the standard floor plan, and I'm going to double-click the Site Plan View instead, 'cause that seems like a more appropriate location to work on topography…
