- [Instructor] This week I want to give you a crash course in symbolics. So what I'm calling symbolics are just sort of all of the 2D specific geometry that you can use in the family editor. So this is going to include field regions, masking regions, and symbolic lines. Now, we typically have these elements to create simplified renditions of the object in various views. Most often floor plans. So, if we consider the chairs around this conference table they have a certain amount of detail here in 3D. We've got the legs showing and the casters and the support structure for the arms and the back of the chair and the seat and all that. So, everything's kind of been represented fairly nicely here in 3D. It's still fairly simple, but there's a certain amount of detail there that you may or may not want to see in some of the other views.
