Understanding view extents and crop regions

- In this video I want to talk about crop regions. Crop regions are a way of controlling what's in a view more geographically. What I mean by that is you define an actual physical boundary and only the elements that fall within that boundary will be displayed. Now the most common reason to consider crop regions is to compose views to fit comfortably on standard title block sheets, but there are other reasons that you might adjust the crop regions as well. So I'm here at a Level 1 Floor Plan and what I'm going to go is do zoom to fit, z + f, and then I'll type z + o to zoom out a little bit further. This particular view is currently not set to crop. So what that means is we could draw geometry anywhere out here and it would display in this view just fine. So let me demonstrate by drawing a wall, and I'll just kind of draw it out here in this location.
