- [Instructor] This week I want to talk about the graded region tool for topography. So this is a handy little tool that allows you to change the grading of your site, and keep track of a relative cut and fill calculation as you go. Now it's not going to replace your civil engineer but it certainly can give you some basic information that you might need at the design stages of your project. Now, a couple things we want to do in setup here. The first is that it's a pretty good idea to check your view range in your current view. So I'm going to work in my site plan view and I'm going to scroll down here on the properties pallet and find my view range setting and edit that. And the reason that you want to check this is the points in the topography have an elevation, a z height, and if those points drop out of the view range, then they can disappear and that can be frustrating while you're working on the topo so the the top…
