Understanding context ribbons
- [Voiceover] In this video, I'll talk about two very important aspects of the user interface: the Ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar, or the QAT. Now, I really can't show you either of these at the moment, because I don't have any documents open. So, what I'm gonna do is just create a blank document by clicking the Architectural Template link right here on my Recent Files screen, and that'll just create a blank file onscreen, and now you'll see at the top of the screen that the QAT becomes available and the Ribbon becomes available at the top of the screen. Now, the Ribbon is organized into a series of tabs. You can see that I have an Architecture tab, a Structure tab, a Systems tab, and so on, all the way over to Modify on the far right. The specific tabs that appear there, there's many that are common, things like Architecture, things like Insert, Annotate, you should have all of those on your interface, but some of the specifics might vary, particularly when it comes to add-ins…
