Using arrays to parametrically duplicate objects

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to create a parametric array. Now the array command in Revit is a very powerful copy command that allows you to make multiple copies of an element but keep them linked together parametrically. Now what we mean by that, quite simply, is that the original parameters that we used to create the multiple copies will remain part of the overall array and we'll be able to modify those parameters anytime we'd like to either the quantity or the position or the orientation of those elements. So in this case, we're going to use the array feature to actually duplicate this detail item that we've created to represent our stair treads. So we've got one right here, but we've got another tread here and another tread here that's going off underneath the crop region. So we really need three of those.
