- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about inputting formulas to calculate numerical values directly in Canvas as you're working in Revit. Now this is a functionality that's been in Revit for quite a while, and we can introduce formulas that use simpler arithmetic or more complex formulas that use trigonometry functions or other mathematical formulas. So in this example, I'm going to use the new slanted walls feature in Revit 2021 and input some formulas to help us calculate the parameters of the slanted walls. Now, if you're not using Revit 2021, you can still follow along with files of your own, but you won't have the slanted wall feature so you can apply the formulas to other kinds of geometry. It works the same for any kind of object. It doesn't have to be a wall. All right, so let me first show you a real simple formula. Let's say we select this reference plane right here.
