- [Voiceover] It's often desirable to show major geometric elements that occur overhead in a dashed line in the floor plan below, so I have a situation here where I'm looking at a first floor plan, but I have some double volume spaces to the second floor above, and I also have a roof canopy on the exterior of the building. So here, on the west side of the building, you can see that there's a roof canopy out here, and if I close that and I open up a building section here, zoom in a little bit, you can see that I've got a floor here with a hole cut in it, and there's a soffit condition there and a balcony with a railing. So it might be desirable to show this double volume space in here. There's actually another double volume space in this location and finally that canopy.
