- [Instructor] In this video, I want to show you a simple example of a lookup table. Now, if you've ever been working in a family where you have lots of values that you need to potentially input into the different parameters and you're looking for a more efficient way to do that, then a lookup table might be the way to go. Now look up tables were originally conceived as a tool for MEP. So if you consider the different kinds of parts for pipes and ducks and so forth, there's a lot of different sizes and there's a lot of variations in the sizes and maybe if you choose a big size over here can only be this certain size over there. So there's a lot of relationships and one way to build those relationships would be to create these incredibly detailed if statements or another way is to use a lookup table.
