Creating a new family from a template

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to begin creating a brand new piece of family content, and it all begins with creating a new family and choosing an appropriate template. So, I'm going to do that with the new link right here in the Families area of the recent file screen, but you can also get there using the file menu instead, and choosing New Family. Now that will display the new family select template file dialogue, and I'm going to go up one step and jump into my Metric folder instead here so that I'm looking at the Metric template. Now, you'll see that there are several templates in this list here. And what I usually like to do is select the first one and then look at the preview that appears over on the right-hand side, and then you can just use the arrow keys here on the keyboard and kind of page down through them. And you'd be surprised how much you can learn by opening up different family templates, and kind of looking around. So if you get serious about using the…
