Using the shape editing tools to create a flat roof

- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about alternative ways to slope flat roofs to achieve drainage sloping. And I'm going to do that by talking about the shape editing tools. Now shape editing tools are a feature that allows you to add customization to the surface of your roof or floor slabs. And you do that by adding points and then changing the Z heights of those points. Now I'm going to demonstrate using roofs in this example, but everything I show you would work with floors as well. Now the first thing you need to know about using shape editing tools is they're only available if there is no slope in your roof. So if I select this sloped roof over here, this hip roof, notice that all I see on the modify tab is the edit footprint button. Contrast that to either this roof or this roof where in addition to the edit footprint button, you also get this shape editing panel that has several other buttons.
