Using view templates
- [Instructor] Overtime, as you are creating various views within your project and configuring different settings, you may find the need to use a similar collection of settings in another view that serves a similar purpose. So, I'm only in a two-storey building here. So I've got two furniture plans and two power plans and two regular floor plans. But, what if I was in a 10 or 20 or 30-storey building? And I had lots of floor plans of each kind. I might want some way to be able to create a collection of settings that apply to a furniture plan and then be able to reuse that in lots of views or collections of settings for power plans and use that in those views. And in fact, we have just such a tool in Revit and it's called View Templates. So what a view template is it's quite simply a way to capture all of the settings in a particular view, give it a name and then you can reuse that collection of settings anytime that you like.
