Wall properties and types
- [Instructor] All elements in Revit have both instance and type properties, and in this video I want to look at specifically some of the instance and type properties of walls. An instance property is object by object, and a type property is shared by all elements of that type. So we're going to look at examples of instance properties first and then type properties after we're done. I've got just four walls here, and in order to understand what we want to talk about, I need to start in this view that I've called levels of detail. So this is going to zoom in on the intersection of two walls right here, and you see it's just showing you those two walls, as they come together at that corner, and it's kind zoomed in really close. Now at the moment, we're just seeing the outline of the walls, the overall thickness of the walls, but we're not seeing any of its internal composition.
