- [Instructor] Previously here in the series we talked about the differences between basic ceilings and compound ceilings, and specifically focused on the hosting of light fixtures to those ceilings, and the issue had to do with whether you were using ceiling-based content or face-based content, and both of them reacted a little bit differently to basic ceilings. But what I thought we'd talk about this week is why would you use a basic ceiling in the first place? And in fact a lot of my client firms just kind of have a policy not to use them, they just always use compound ceilings. And honestly, it's a little difficult to object to that policy because really, a compound ceiling is superior in a lot of ways.
