Why do architects use arch viz in projects?

- [Instructor] Why would an architect use architectural visualization or archviz as it's known? Well, one of the things would be to move away from cumbersome in-app rendering, such as in Autodesk Revit. One of the problems you have with Revit, is when you are rendering a 3D model or a 3D image, it takes up the entire Revit application. If you're sending these models away or using them in house with unreal engine, it means that your Revit is freed up for your architectural design. Your unreal engine is then being used for that rendering and to create those amazing architectural visualizations that you want to show to your clients and the stakeholders in your project. You also want to effectively communicate design intent. To do that, a real life image worth 1,000 words will communicate it more effectively than perhaps a Revit randomly. The other thing that unreal engine gives you is the ability to demonstrate real-life…
