- [Instructor] In this video we will learn how to adjust an element surface to break a repeating material pattern to appear as though our wood studs were framed correctly. Let's get started. Open the 02_11 exercise file. In the project browser you should be in sheet 01_11 Concrete Wood Stud and Insulation. In this project I've already created and applied a material for our wood studs with insulation. Let's take a quick look at that material. From the Manage tab, in the Materials Browser, I've created a material using an image representing our studs at 16 inches on center. The floor-to-floor height between each slab is 12 feet. I've adjusted the properties of this image to be 12 feet by 16 inches. I've created a model pattern matching those same dimensions to easily adjust our material appearance. We'll work in the hidden line view to adjust the location of our hatch lines, adjusting the location of the stud appearance. Select your view, right click and activate the view. Using the…
