Working with British standards (BS 1192 and ISO 19650)

Once again, we're staying in our 1031 southeast Madison 001 CAD drawing. We talked about working with a recognized standard in the previous video. We talked about the British standard, BS 1192. Now, that has actually been superseded by a different standard. There's a much, much more current standard out there now, and its called ISO 19650. And the ISO 19650 standard addresses the BIM side of things. So its all about your BIM workflow, and how you work with silos of information in a BIM project. As part of that, you have another ISO standard: 13567-2. That's all about your layer naming, a bit like BS 1192 was previously. Now, obviously with differing standards, and working with those differing standards, you might need to change your standard in your CAD drawing in preparation for it to go in to the BIM workflow where it's linked or imported into a Revit model.
