- [Instructor] We're going to have a little look at some file management in your CAD drawings now in this chapter. So we got a new drawing for you. It's called 1031 SE Madison_001_CAD.dwg. The CAD represents the CAD drawing that you're going to use in your BIM workflow. Now what we're going to talk about primarily is utilizing standards to manage your files. Now, in this particular case, we are going to look at potentially using our own CAD standard in our CAD drawing. So, if you download the drawing from the library, you can then follow along with these videos in this chapter and start looking at ways and means of working with your CAD standards. Now the reason I mentioned CAD standards in your BIM workflow is you can work with the layers in your CAD drawings once you've brought those CAD drawings into Revit, into the Revit model.
