The industry-wide use of BIM

So let's look, now, at the industry use of BIM, building information modeling. Now we've all ready talked about Revit, and how that can be used as your primary BIM modeling and drafting tool. So Revet is the toolbox that allows you to start generating that information in BIM, the building information modeling. Now, when it comes to architecture, architects can use Revit as that BIM modeling (3D) and drafting (2D) tool to design and execute their projects. So that's the doors, the windows, the schedules, the 3D views, the sheets that I mentioned previously in the previous video. However, as a BIM project progresses, you're going to need to obviously make sure that that building can stand up, so you bring in the likes of structural engineers.
