- [Instructor] We're going to start working on a house design that I've modeled in Rhino. But first we got to make sure that our Rhino file is ready to go. The first thing on our list is we want to make sure that everything is at the origin. If you look at the Rhino file, you see that I've moved all of the geometry close to that point. Our next step is to explode our walls. I want to make sure that all of my walls, especially the exterior walls are exploded and then divide it up into layers. Both exterior layers and an interior layer. The reason I did this is I want to assign a material to the exterior layer, most likely some wood siding, and I want to assign another material to the interior layer, most likely dry wall or paint. Next, we want to make sure that we get rid of any surfaces that are on top of each other. You want to make sure you get rid of these because otherwise they'll cause some pretty funny effects in…
