Analyzing curve direction
- [Instructor] The direction of a curve in Rhino, that is which end is the start and which ends is the finish is actually important information for building complex surfaces and using plugins. To practice analyzing curve directions, I've got the exercise file curvdirection.3dm open. Now it's very easy to see the direction of a curve. All we need to do is select it and access the direction command. So in this example, we've got some free form curves that are making up the profile of some sort of a vessel shape. So I'm going to shift click to select both of those. And then under the Analyze menu, I'll click the Direction command. Now, if I zoom in here, I can see that these curves have arrows along them. That's showing me the direction of each of the two curves on the left and the right. And I can see right now that these are going in opposite directions.
