Analyzing curve length

- [Instructor] Analyzing the length of a curve is a fundamental skill and it applies to just about any workflow in Rhino. In this video, we'll practice with some curve analysis using the Exercise File landscape-design.3DM. And this is you guys did a design for Landscape. And so I'll just zoom in a little bit. And the part I'm focused on here are these cyan curves, and this is going to be some steel edging around a set of raised beds. So I need to analyze the length of those curves to tell me how much edging I need to use. So these straight ones are going to be real easy. That's just point A to point B, but the curved ones are obviously harder to measure without specialized commands. So let's go ahead and click on one of the straight ones. And one command we can use to look at the length of a curve is under the Analyze menu and it's just called Length. Now, when I activate that command, nothing happens, no geometry is created.…
