Applying materials and rendering

- [Instructor] To begin adding materials to your scene you want to make sure that you have the Library window open. And to start adding materials you could go and look here on the left side and you have your Materials section, you have a number of really cool materials you can use. You have your metallic materials here, you have Plastic, you have Paint, you have Stone, all the way to Wood, which is pretty neat. So let's first start by applying a chrome finish to our tip here. If I go to Metal, just double-click it to bring down the drop down menu. There's Chrome. We can go ahead and maximize that menu. And let's first look for Basic. We can go with the Polished Chrome, and just simply left-click and drag it right into the tip. You'll see that it starts to apply it right away. And if you remember, we want the tip to have a matte finish, but clearly both of them are selected. So let me go ahead and rotate and show you. I'm just going to simply zoom in here.
