Boolean operations
- Rhino 5 for Mac has a great set of commands called boolean operations, and these can really speed up your editing process. Boolean commands can do things like join objects together, cut into objects, or find object intersections. We can find some of the boolean commands under the Solid menu. So this set here down towards the bottom. And while booleans can work with curves or open surfaces, I find they're most useful for editing solids, so let's explore some of the boolean operations using solid objects. And here I've got several example layers that show the objects that we'll be building, and you can jump ahead if you'd like and look, but for now I'm just going to start off on an empty layer and build things step by step. So to get started, I need to make two sets of solid objects to work with. So for the first set, I'll begin by making just a simple closed polygon curve. So go to Curve, Polygon.
