Creating contours

- In our last video, we created our simple chair using the loft command. In this video, we'll be using the wiggle chairs lamination technique, and we'll be creating contours of the chairs using the "Contour" command. We'll then lay them out and label them and get them ready for printing. So in an effort to be smart about the amount of work we're going to be doing, we're going to split our chair in half and only create contours for one half of the chair. What about the other half? Well, if you plan to print out the chair to actually make a prototype, just print two copies and cut things out twice. If you turn one set of pieces around, then the direction of the pieces will match the other half. Let's now erase one half of our chair. To do that, go up to "Surface", go down to "Plane", and we're going to use the "Cutting Plane" tool we've used in the past. Select our object, and we are going to find that center point of the chair.
