- Next up we create the top and bottom edges of the case. I'll use a strategy or process I call curve-to-edge. This is where you start with a curve, build a surface, and then using either offset curve, or the surface edges you've just made, to continue and leverage your work. Let's zoom into this top edge here so there's no curve there, but Rhino can use edges as if they are curves in many cases. So I'd like to create a thickness here by coming in at a distance of about four. Let's try the curve offset and see what happens. So I'm going to go to Curve Tools on the toolbar, here is the Offset curve. I'm going to make sure my distance is four and then I'm going to pick one of these edges here, and you'll notice that that single edge highlights, it's actually not what I want, I want all of these four sides and the four arcs to come in. You can only do this offset with one curve at a time so I'd have to do this eight times. So let's just hit Escape and back out of the command. I want to…
