Creating layouts

- [Instructor] We finished up making two-dimensional drawings of all the parts of our musical instrument, as well as adding important measurements of all the key design features. Now we're ready to take all those 2D drawings and compile them together into layouts. Now, the layout tools in Rhino, if you haven't used them, are really cool. They're kind of like a built-in PDF creator. And we can use layouts to make scale drawings of models and add things like text and dimensions or any other important notation. You can think of them kind of like making blueprints of your 3D model. So, our goal in this chapter is to make five layouts. And let me go ahead and make myself a note here so that I can keep track of everything we need to make. So, we need to make a layout for the wooden base, one for the wooden top, one for the metal parts, one for the exploded diagram, and then one for the assembled, finished view.
