Creating revolved surfaces

- In this video, well take a look at making surfaces with revolve commands. I've got the exercise files surfacesrevolve.3dm open and here we've got a couple different profile curves to work with. Rhino's revolve commands create surfaces by rotating a profile curve around an axis. If you've ever made something on a lathe or a pottery wheel you'll probably feel right at home using Revolve. So let's go up to the surface menu, and we'll activate the revolve command. And I'd like to take a look at this profile curve right here on the origin. Now, I'm going to rotate this around the z-axis, so we can think of this as some sort of like a vase or a vessel shape. Maybe we're going to try 3D printing it out of ceramic or some other cool material. One thing I'm noticing though, as I'm planning to revolve this is the endpoint of my profile curve isn't quite lined up with that z-axis. So I'm actually going to cancel out of…
