Creating screen captures for quick proofs

In this video we'll focus on making progress screen captures for the middle part of your design project. This would occur before you finish the project and don't really have enough work done to render, so your boss or instructor may want to check in and see how things are going so this helps avoid unpleasant surprises for everybody. First thing is you want to make sure you turn off all unnecessary geometry or lines that might be in the way. Second, I like to have a copy, kind of in the background. So I'm going to turn on this layer already created. So this gives me a little more variety and alternate views. In this, in this same shot. So for the majority of this course, we've had white background. If yours is not white currently, I think that's going to work the best. And the reason is, you may end up taking these screen captures, putting them on a page, like in Illustrator, or In Design. So you don't really want to have a dark gray box around your object.
