- Coming up next we're going to build a set of stairs to connect another one of our elevated terraces to the grid level below. This time though we're going to focus on this section back here, I call this the back porch. Let's zoom in. This was created pretty easily by a simple rectangle drawn to correct level, and then we used the solid extrude planar curve and making sure it went well below the grid. Okay, I'm going to verify that I've got my midpoint snap on. Actually, I'm going to use a different type of line, a single line, as opposed to the usual polyline. So if this tab is not open, you can find it by going over to the Curve menu, go to Line, Single Line, and here's the option I was interested in. You can select Vertical. I'm going to come over here, and start at the midpoint. I'm now going to type in point five. That'll be half a foot, which is the default units or six inches. It's now waiting for direction, so I'm going to go downwards and click to accept. So that should be…
