Creating surfaces and thicknesses using the Planar Curves and Extrude tool

- In our last movie we set up our profiles as a framework for creating some surfaces for our chair. Now we'll get to creating those surfaces. We'll then give some thickness to those surfaces and finish up our work. So the first thing I want to do is I need to add some additional lines to our profiles here. What I'm trying to do I click the polyline there I'm actually going to use line segments. So right clicking there and I'm just going to make a series of lines that connect these points. What I'm trying to do is create a series of flat planes. I think that this is going to give us the aesthetic that most closely aligns with Rietveld's zig zag chair. Alright so we've now created a bunch of rectangles. But as we go in closer you can start to see how this potential surface torques and twists a little bit. So that's not really going to end up with a flat plane. So we need to add some additional line work in here. Again I'm going to use a line segment. And I'm going to start to make some…
