- Next up, we look at the first of two strategies for creating landforms. Since flat site won't need these techniques, I'm using a rolling topography to make this more challenging. Plus, I think these types of sites are way more fun and interesting. So, here on the screen we can see my strategy for creating topography with lofting. We're going to be drawing some of the smooth control point curves. We're going to copy the curve as many times as needed that way we're going to have the same or a similar number of control points, and then continue to make further edits. We want to avoid the situation where you have one control point curve that has maybe eight control points and you're going to try loft to another one that has eighty. You want to keep the numbers as close to the same as possible.
