Curve basics

- To get familiar with using curve objects in Rhino 5 for Mac, we need to know some basic curve properties. So Rhino has a number of different curve commands, and those are located under the Curve menu. These include some basic curve commands for things like a rectangle, a polygon, a circle, an arc, and a few others. So I've gone ahead and drawn out a few examples of these curve types, which you can see here in blue. These are all located in the Curve Primitives layer. These basic shapes are called Curve Primitives since they have some standardized properties. So for example, let's take the circle, for instance. The circle is defined by a center point and a radius, and even though the center point could be in different locations, or the radius could be larger or smaller, there's always a basic structure to what defines a circle. Likewise for the rectangle. Rectangles just have four sides with 90 degree angles. And rectangles could also be square, or they could just be rectangular…
